The Montgomery County Fair, Rodeo and Barbecue Cook-Off has a little bit of something for everyone. Bring the whole family to enjoy the competitions, concerts, exhibits, carnival and much, much more! Each year, new attractions and events are added, so you never know what you might find!
This year marks our 55th Annual Montgomery County Fair, Rodeo and Barbecue Cook-Off on April 13-22, 2012. The combined support of our 600 volunteers, 2,000 members and the surrounding community businesses and residents has made the Fair the largest event in Montgomery County, and we are still growing! We cannot wait for next year to welcome back more than 60,000 guests, 1,000 exhibitors and 122 cook-off teams.
Last year alone, we brought in $781,810 from our Jr. Non-Livestock and Livestock Auctions, not to mention, we have given more than $1.4 million in college scholarships since the scholarship program began in 1993! We're proud to say that all proceeds from the scholarship trailride, wine tasting event, and a percentage of the Jr. Non-Livestock and Livestock Auctions, benefit the scholarship program for graduating seniors. In addition, the Fair provides students with a place to display their projects.
Fun and recreation for the whole family are a big part of the Fair. From incredible music acts to breathtaking rodeo performances, and mouthwatering BBQ to head-over-heels carnival rides, we've got it all! If you haven't participated in the past, I encourage you to join us in supporting our youth and their education. Please come out and join us for all the fun activities the whole family will enjoy!
