DESCRIPTION:Registration for Youth Rodeo is closed!\nFrom Mutton busting to Cash Cow, these youth rodeo events are crowd-pleasing and exciting. They offer area youth the opportunity to participate in rodeo events to keep them involved.\nEVENTS INCLUDE: MUTTON BUSTIN, STICK HORSE RACE, GOAT RIBBON PULLING, AND CASH COW.\nUPDATES FOR 2026\nNEW Events:\n– CPRA Mutton Bustin’: These runs will take place during the Friday and Saturday CPRA Rodeo Performances.\n– Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin’: This event will take place during the Sunday Ranch Rodeo Performance\nContestant Selection:\nContestants will be selected on a first come, first served basis via the online entry form. We will no longer be using the lottery method to select our contestants.\nEntry Fees:\nEach event will require a non-refundable fee.\n– $25 for Goat Ribbon Pulling, Cash Cow, and Stick Horse Races\n– $50 for Youth Rodeo Mutton Bustin’\n– $100 for CPRA Mutton Bustin’\n– $50 for Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin’\nAge Requirements: \n– Stick Horse Races: 3-4\n– Goat Ribbon Pulling: 8-13\n– Cash Cow: 9-16\n– Youth Rodeo Mutton Bustin’: 5-7\n– CPRA Rodeo Mutton Bustin’: 6-8\n– Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin’: 6-8\nNO GEAR IS PROVIDED FOR ANY YOUTH RODEO EVENT\n\nMeaning of protective gear for Mutton Bustin: Riders must wear properly fitted helmet and protective vest. Helmet must be a youth equestrian/rodeo style (not bike helmet) and must fit snug (no rocking or sliding). Face guard is recommended but not required. Vest must be a youth rodeo or impact vest, must cover chest and ribs, and must fit snug (not loose, but not too tight).\nDo not sign up your child(ren) for more than one spot per youth rodeo event. Youth Rodeo Mutton Bustin’,\nCPRA Mutton Bustin’, and Sunday Shoot Out Mutton Bustin’ are three separate events – contestants may\nenter each one. Once entered for any event, there will be no switching of event and/or date. Day-of entries MAY be available pending contestant no-shows.
