JUNIOR LIVESTOCK AUCTION

Each year at the Montgomery County Fair, exhibitors come from all parts of the county to take part in the Junior Livestock Shows. These are a major part of the Fair and culminate with the Junior Livestock Auction. The hope, of course, is Grand Champion, but ultimately the goal is to place in one of the sale slots by winning a top spot in the class the animal is exhibited in.

TOTAL RAISED

In 2026, the Livestock Auction raised over $1,050,000 (night-of total not counting add-ons). We are so proud of all of our exhibitors and thank our buyers for making this possible!

LIVESTOCK AND EXHIBITORS

The top market steers, hogs, rabbits, lambs, broilers, turkeys and goats, raised and exhibited by Montgomery County Youth will be eligible to participate in the Junior Market Auction.

The exhibitors, in our auctions, receive 90% of their individual auction and add-on totals with 5% also going to the MCFA Scholarship Fund and 5% funding the operating budget of the auction production.
