Auctions at the 2026 Montgomery County Fair set an all-time high record for contributions to youth. Through the fair’s livestock auction, replacement heifer sale, non-livestock auction, and add-on contributions, exhibitors earned more than $1,755,735, surpassing the previous record of nearly $1.6 million set in 2024.

“Our auctions provide exhibitors the opportunity to invest in themselves,” said Audra Hoegemeyer, Officer in Charge for all Montgomery County Fair Auctions. “Many will use this money to fund future fair projects or contribute to post-graduation education plans.”

In April, qualifying exhibitors and their projects crossed the auction block, each representing the hard work, dedication and determination required to complete a successful project in their respective contests.

“Our fair is so competitive because we have such hard-working kiddos,” said Hoegemeyer. “We had a total of 244 exhibitors walk across our three auction blocks this year.”

This year’s record-setting achievement would not have been possible without the buyers committed to championing the youth of Montgomery County. Through add-on contributors and night-of-auction buyers, more than 430 individuals, organizations and businesses came together to support exhibitors, whose dedication and determination represent the future of our community.

“We cannot thank our buyers enough,” said Hoegemeyer. “They are truly what make our auctions happen. There is no more meaningful way to invest in the future than by supporting these exhibitors and their potential.”
