Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo crown 2026 Fair Queen and Court

Delaney Miller, a junior from Caney Creek High School was crowned the 2026 Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo Fair Queen during the Saturday, April 11 CPRA rodeo.

Closing out the 2026 Montgomery County Fair Queen Court are First Runner-Up Emma Cranney of Splendora High School, Second Runner-Up homeschooler Abbigale Duston, and Miss Congeniality Marlee Moriarty from Montgomery High School.

In October, 22 young ladies, all high school juniors from across Montgomery County, set out for the title of fair queen. Since then, contestants have been hard at work on their candidate speeches, practicing their interview techniques and volunteering within our community.

Miller spoke about how much this title meant to her and the work it took to reach her crowning moment.

“This title means so much to me,” Miller said. “It took so much dedication and work, and being able to represent the fair, something I love so much, is just amazing.”

Growing up in Montgomery County, Miller spent years watching past fair queens in awe and dreaming of one day being in their shoes.

“I was in third grade when I saw these pretty girls in dresses, and I immediately said to myself, ‘I want to do that,’” Miller said. “I still can’t believe this is real. I’m living the dream.”

While the excitement has yet to subside, being crowned queen is just one of Miller’s first stops on her 2026 fair journey. Miller, along with the rest of the court, will appear at various events throughout the remainder of this year’s fair season.

From upcoming livestock shows, auctions, community events and more, the court will be hard at work representing the Montgomery County Fair and its mission to help champion the youth of Montgomery County.

As one queen is crowned, another must bid farewell. 2025 Montgomery County Fair Queen Avery McCartney of Conroe High School reflected on her time as queen.

“This past year has been filled with countless opportunities, tons of fun and a little bit of sadness knowing this day would soon come,” McCartney said in a prerecorded retiring address shown before the crowning. “Thank you for giving me the honor of being your 2025 fair queen and letting me share my love and passion for agriculture.”
